Guilford's Organic Seed & Feed

Clearwater, Manitoba

Truck

This photo shows a yellow wagon being towed behind the combine. The combine separates the wheat seeds from the straw which is seen in the foreground and the chaff (leaves, hulls, light grain and weed seeds). The chaff in our case is blown into this wagon and dropped in rows to be gathered up later. We usually haul it to the yard for cattle feed but sometimes it's just left as cattle feed in the field. One of the other main benefits of the chaff saver is to help control the spread of weed seeds.
