Forages and Livestock in Organic Systems

The Anchor experiment is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). This is a 4-year crop rotation experiment assessing the agronomic, economic, and environmental impact of perennial forages and livestock in an organic system. The researchers will examine the optimum number of years to include forages in the rotation and assess whether ruminant or monogastric livestock can help increase soil sustainability on organic farms.
