Under the new
regulations all accredited Certifying Bodies (CBs) must adhere to
the Canadian standard as the minimum requirement for
all organic certification agencies in Canada

Organic
Trade Association (OTA) has published a list
of the approved certifiers and accreditors under the Canada
Organic Regime
In order to be compliant with Canada's Organic Products Regulations after June 30, 2009, all operators must be certified to the Canadian organic standards and meet other requirements (such as labelling) under the regulations. All certifiers must be accredited by one of the approved Conformity Verification Bodies (accreditors). Operators are encouraged to contact their certifiers
to confirm their accreditation under the Canada Organic Regime. |
