Small Business Partner - Interlake Forage Seeds

Interlake Forage Seeds is a family owned farm business that markets both certified organic and conventionally produced forage and native seed crops. We are a Canadian leader in developing agronomy packages for growing niche forages, native grasses and forbes. We have field experience with over 25 species of crop with new species being researched every year by our three professional agrologists.

An important part of our research is being directed to sustainable farm practises that lessen the environmental footprint but still produce the quality seed for our European and North American customers. To that end we were awarded the National Stewardship Recognition Award by Countryside Canada in 2002.

Our latest challenge is producing, contracting and cleaning certified organic forage seed for the organic milk and beef producers. Our new certified organic plant can custom clean ,warehouse in a climate controlled facility and ship anywhere in the world by the efforts of our 14 seasoned staff members.
