Two Organic Courses at University of Copenhagen
Organic food production developed early in Denmark and now plays a
major role, with one the highest consumptions in Europe and 7% of organic
farmland.
Exploiting these trends, University of Copenhagen has since 1998 offered
courses in English in Organic Farming and Food.
We offer two courses, "Organic
Agriculture" at BSc level, and "Organic
Food Systems" at BSc/MSc level, each covering
9 weeks (15 ECTS) and together making up a full semester. However,
they can
be followed independently.
Applications
and other information
In both courses we emphasize high levels of independent student activity,
competencies in learning, presentation skills, as well as putting knowledge
into context through excursions and problem-based project work.
The Faculty of Life Sciences (previously KVL) at Copenhagen University
has a long record of accomodating well for foreign students.
Deadline for application is November 1, 2008 (but we are somewhat flexible
on that).
